About Mama Yoga

Welcome to Mama Yoga

Marisa Gray Atha is the owner of Mama Yoga Studio, offering specialized yoga practices for women and mothers. She an RYT-500 certified yoga teacher and CMT-200 certified meditation teacher. Marisa has been published in OM Yoga & Lifestyle Magazine, and continues to offer yoga and meditation practices via Mama Yoga Studio Video Library and Mama Yoga YouTube. 


As women and mothers, we give of our bodies, our hearts, and our minds.  We care so deeply for others, nurturing and sustaining them; to thrive, it is essential that we care for ourselves.   If you are a woman, a mother, or a holder and nurturer of others, this studio space is for you.    


For the past decade, yoga has offered me strengthening, refuge, and nourishment.  I hope that I can serve you in this way, sharing with you the benefits of this practice, in its many beautiful facets.

Who is Mama Yoga For?

Mama Yoga provides yoga practices especially for women.  As we women move through our 30s, 40s, 50s, and onward, our bodies, minds, and spirits have different needs.


If you are a woman, you have carried so much, for so many.  If you are a woman, a mother, a holder and nurturer of others, this studio space is for you.   


This practice is for all the women who seek connection--body, mind, and spirit.  The women who deserve gratitude and honoring.  The women who, after giving so much to their families and friends, deserve some tending and nourishment.  The women who have found their way to yoga, and wish to share this path with a sister in spirit.  


I love crafting yoga practices that attune to the unique needs of women.  Each yoga session is a personalized practice crafted just for you, addressing your body, mind, and spirit.  Our practices are fun, heartwarming, strengthening, and rejuvenating.  I love helping women feel intuitive, balanced, and strong!
